About Me
Joanna Brown MA (Cantab)
Career Coach (PGDip)

Registered Career Development Professional (RCDP)

After graduating from Jesus College Cambridge with a degree in Modern and Medieval History, I followed a career in marketing and management consultancy with Procter & Gamble, Baker Tilly Consulting and United Biscuits working on leading global brands such as Oil of Olay, McVities and Shell. Throughout this time, I was heavily involved in graduate recruitment at various universities in the UK, including Glasgow, York and Cambridge, running recruitment programmes as well as screening CVs and interviewing and assessing candidates.

I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Career Coaching, a Certificate in Youth Coaching accredited by the International Coach Federation and I am a Registered Career Development Professional with the Careers Development Institute and can be found on their database of approved practitioners. I am a member of the Institute of Student Employers (ISE) and keep up to date with the latest news and trends in the graduate and degree apprenticeship employment market.

As a mother of three daughters aged 25, 24 and 20 years I recognise that the dynamic operating between parents and their children means an impartial, independent view often adds clarity.
